FALLOW | LUCKY STRIKE | MERINO ALPACA DK
FALLOW | LUCKY STRIKE | MERINO ALPACA DK
A quiet warm neutral somewhere between wheat, sand, pale camel, and soft blush-brown. Subtle tonal movement keeps it from feeling flat.
Fallow is a Lucky Strike, created from leftover dye during the dyeing process rather than from a repeatable recipe. That means this particular color is inherently small-batch and one-of-a-kind. I may land somewhere nearby again someday, but I can’t reliably recreate this exact shade.

ABOUT HAND-DYED YARN
Each skein is dyed by hand in very small batches, so variation between skeins is part of the process. Even skeins dyed together may differ slightly in depth or placement of color. For larger projects, alternating skeins every couple of rows can help blend those natural variations.
After dyeing, yarn is thoroughly rinsed, given a final soak with wool wash, spun out, and air-dried in my studio. Some residual dye release can occasionally occur, particularly with darker or more saturated colors.
CARE
Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool-safe wash. Avoid agitation and sudden temperature changes. Lay flat to dry.
