SUGAR HOUSE (Kid Mohair/Silk)

SUGAR HOUSE (Kid Mohair/Silk)
Teal, emerald, turquoise, violet, wine, rust, gold, pale gray, and flashes of almost electric color.
Sugar House changes enormously depending on the solid underneath it. Pair it with something close in color and it becomes richly tonal. Put it over plum, navy, brown, or rust and entirely different parts of the skein come forward.
That possibility is really the whole idea behind this collection.

ABOUT HAND-DYED YARN
Each skein is dyed by hand in very small batches, so variation between skeins is part of the process. Even skeins dyed together may differ slightly in depth or placement of color. For larger projects, alternating skeins every couple of rows can help blend those natural variations.
After dyeing, yarn is thoroughly rinsed, given a final soak with wool wash, spun out, and air-dried in my studio. Some residual dye release can occasionally occur, particularly with darker or more saturated colors.
CARE
Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool-safe wash. Avoid agitation and sudden temperature changes. Lay flat to dry.
