FOREST GLASS (Merino/Alpaca DK)
FOREST GLASS (Merino/Alpaca DK)
A deep blue-green teal with plenty of shadow in it. Rich and saturated without reading particularly bright, with that slightly elusive quality where it can lean greener or bluer depending on the light.
I dyed the solid colors in this collection specifically with layering in mind. Pair Forest Glass with a variegated mohair for shifting, translucent color over the surface, or use it on its own when you want the depth of the color to do all the work.
BASE
75% fine Non-Superwash merino / 25% baby alpaca
3-ply DK weight

ABOUT HAND-DYED YARN
Each skein is dyed by hand in very small batches, so variation between skeins is part of the process. Even skeins dyed together may differ slightly in depth or placement of color. For larger projects, alternating skeins every couple of rows can help blend those natural variations.
After dyeing, yarn is thoroughly rinsed, given a final soak with wool wash, spun out, and air-dried in my studio. Some residual dye release can occasionally occur, particularly with darker or more saturated colors.
CARE
Hand wash gently in cool water using a wool-safe wash. Avoid agitation and sudden temperature changes. Lay flat to dry.
