The Cellulose Difference
'Smoke' on Eco Wool vs. 'Smoke' on Superwash Wool
The Eco Wool (shown here), Hemp Merino Sport, and Alpaca Linen Luxe yarn bases contain a moderate proportion of plant-based fiber. For this reason, each of these bases will display any colorway (both solid and conventional) about half as intensely. Cellulose fibers do not absorb the acid dye, therefore this portion of the yarn will remain slightly tinted at most. The higher percentage of cellulose fiber, the less intense the colorway.
